how to downconvert to SD from HDV timeline?

While enjoying PP+AspectHD as a great editing experience with HDV, I am frustrated in delivering SD out from the HDV edits for broadcasting purpose. My aim is to produce PAL 4:3 SD, in DVD or avi. My computer does not have a video card (do I need one? if yes, will Matrox X100 be OK?). Tried all the combinations within the system without success. Can anyone please help out!

I could of course use SD DV output from Sony FX1, but that defeats the purpose of my using AspectHD.

Thanks for any guidance.

I just noticed it is more fitting for the above message to appear on Cineform software showcase. Please check there for any possible response.

Take a look at Canopus and their editing solutions for HDV....look at Nx for edius and SP for edius....both cards provide both SD and HD out to monitor with HDV material

John,

What is frustrating you? Are you having problems encoding to MPEG2?

Have you tried merely exporting and then importing the Cineform AVI into a DV project?

Perhaps we can give you a hand if we try to duplicate your workflow.
