HDV Workflow?

I would like to know what people have found as a good workflow for premiere pro 1.5 without using cineform. I tried the HDV plugin, but always get messed up captures. Same with cineform, unless i capture, then convert. Which is sad because my system is the recommended specs. And i am not willing to pay $400 for an editing codec, which has become a mainstream/consumer format. Which means in about a year cineform will probably have plenty of competition, probably even microsoft will through in a free HDV codec. Anyway, enough with my rant about software that doesn't work. I have captured a bunch of .m2t files through CapDVHS. I have searched on demuxing, but its funny how no one ever provides links to the programs they talk about. So please provide links and how to get the m2t file to premiere for an efficient editing flow.

Even though you have expressed an interest in not using CineForm products, I'm concerned that you have had difficulties. Have you tried Aspect HD 3.1? Version 3.1 addresses all the of the outstanding capture issues we were seeing on some systems. It now even works well on under-spec'd PCs. If you still had difficulties with 3.1, I would like to know about them so that any remaining errors can be addressed in the next update, or if not a bug, support can address a particular system issue.

You can email me directly from this forum.
