HD edit software selection?

So I recently purchased a DJI Phantom 3. It and my Note 4 cell phone shoot video in quad HD. I am vaguely familiar with Premier Pro but want to get the best and easiest solution to ingest and edit video for my own and friends and familys enjoyment. I really don't want a tremendous learning curve to have to overcome but need to combine XDCAM video from an EX1, HDV from a Canon HV20, QHD from Phantom 3 Pro and Samsung Note 4. I have a Black Magic Intensity Shuttle running on a i7-990 water cooled and clocked at 4.25Ghz writing to Samsung SSDs. Just need to figure out a relatively easy software solution that can produce some watchable video for playback at parties and family gatherings.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

You may want to wait till the end of July when it's expected that version 12 of Resolve is released. It is supposed to come with lots of new editing features. Since the light version is free you can always give that a try and see if it works for you.

So I briefly had the free version on my system but could not figure out how to do simple timeline NLE so I took it off. Kind of assumed it was strictly for grading. I will have to re-install and spend a bit more time on it. Are there some tutorials on the basics of Resolve?

You could try Lightworks, although there is a 720p Youtube export restriction on the free version.

Some say there's a large learning curve, but you can actually get going pretty quickly if you're not carrying any baggage.
