Premier Pro 2.0 & the latest types of HDV....

Ok, there is no PPro forum for HD, so I guess I'll post it here...

Got the email from Adobe this morning. Looks like the US site is updated. Premiere Pro 2.0 is officially released this morning. All the rumors were true.

All the new features are great. I am only interested in the following things:

1. How will it handle HDV now? (more specifically 24f/30f from XL-H1 and 24p/30p from HD100)
2. How will it handle DVCPRO-HD/P2? (looks like it will cut HVX200 footage)
3. Does it allow optional hardware acceleration for HDV (vegas does not)

what's the deal?

Let's buy it and find out!
;-)

Haven't had a chance yet to see if any pearls are buried in the updated Adobe info. I can't imagine that they'd have ignored the any of the recently released cameras and the formats they shoot in, though. Eg, XL H1 24F and DVCProHD...remains to be seen, but I'd be surprised and disappointed if PPro didn't natively support them -- they're making such a big push about HD for this release. That said, I'll probably still use Cineform Intermediate unless some reason not to should pop up out of nowhere.
