Method for HDV 1080i to SD when using SmoothCam filter at DVinfo.net

The Bonsai method does not work well when you have a lot of motion resulting from using the FCP6 SmoothCam filter. Here is a method similar to Bonsai that is providing much improved results...
1. HDV 1080i edited on HDV timeline with ProRes rendering.
2. Nest HDV sequence in ProRes timeline, load HDV sequence in viewer and add .5 channel blur to the HDV sequence
3. Set motion rendering to Best in ProRes timeline
3. Export using Quicktime conversion to ProRes, interlaced, 1440 and no filters.
4. Put into Compressor using using the 80 minute preset, using all defaults except changing GOP to 7 instead of 15.

Suggestions most welcomed to make this better.
