Traveling to the UK....lighting?

This will be my first trip shooting in the UK, and I am wondering will my lights work over there (I am in the US)? I would guess that just having a different plug adapter will not work for Arri or Lowel lights like it would for my laptop or camera chargers cause the lights are voltage specific, right?

Thanks,
BE

We are around 240volts 50hz here in the Uk and you are 110 60hz so if you shoot NTSC at 60hz you will get screen flicker under mains lighting.

If you are using redheads then you can change the bubbles (lamps) for 240 volt ones. Your chargers and everything else will have to be able to switch to 240v and 50hz operation.

It may be most cost effective to hire kit here as there are lots of hire places in London.

hope this helps.
Gary
