JVC LS300 and Metabones EF MK IV & EF Lens Issues

Greetings,

Has anyone experienced "chattering" noise -- when using Metabones MK IV adapter with Canon EF lenses and autofocus ? I have used 3 different EF autofocus lenses in AF mode -- and get this chattering when throwing focus out - and allowing camera to bring back into focus. Loud enough that it gets picked up on audio.

Suggestions ? Experiences ? How long did JVC take to repair your LS 300 - under ANY operating circumstances ?

I am guessing JVC will "blame it on" the Metabones !?

Thanks for any replies --

Yup, happens all the time, and not only on the LS300. I never use auto-focus, so it doesn't bother me at all, but if do, you need to stick with a native MFT mount zoom, like the Lumix 12-35 or Olympus 12-40. They won't make the clunking noises - they're still iffy when it comes to hitting consistent focus on the LS.

It's been said here several times by others, the LS300 is really best as a manual focus, manual iris camera.

MFT adapters and speedboosters for Nikon lenses are likewise free of "chattering" and other auto-focus and auto-iris problems. The reason, of course, is that they are entirely mechanical adapters with no electronic connection between camera and lens.
