The poster took these pics at CES 2012 and labeled this pic as "New 4K Camcorder from JVC." I assumed he meant the new HMQ10.
But what is that - an interchangeable lens mount???
Is there a 35mm adapter that small?

OK, I found out - it's a prototype of a new 4K JVC cam with a Nikon F- mount and possibly a larger sensor, 1/25" size. About a 4/3" sensor?.

The video is very interesting!

A bit less then 4/3 yes. It sounds promising. Hope it wont also record to 4 SD cards at once - I would never record on 4 separate SD cards at once - it would probably give me nightmares for a months time!:)

If you want 4K, then yes, it records to four SDHC cards at once. Or you can just record to one card and get 1080P HD.

And the camera utilises the whole sensor for HD acquisition?

I am not sure. Craig Yanagi from JVC frequents these forums. Perhaps he can chime in. But I think in the video he mentions it uses a part of the sensor in 1080.

Nice if it has an EOS mount.

How does that process work with 4 cards?

Well, they're not much to look at... it was tough shooting through glass with a little pocket digicam. Click to embiggen.
