GZ-HD7 and Avid Liquid 7?
 

I can't find anything that says they're compatible, have they release updates to Liquid for direct import of the .TOD files? What's the workflow?

Liquid work's fine with the HD7.

When you say it works fine... do I not have to convert the TOD files?? Does Liquid accept and use them? I'm buying this camera tomorrow if it does.

You need to change their extension -- a process than can be automated.

LOL... unbelievable. I can't believe they'd do that. You'd think compatibility would be a bigger selling point, I guess they need us to buy the archive station.

Barry, the page you posted mentions (not tested on 1440CBR). So you did test FHD, right?

The manual states "if you plan to export via iLink (firewire) you must use 1440CBR". But I guess that's not the case if you're grabbing the files directly via USB and renaming??

You are correct. Moving files allows you to use FullHD. But, there's no real resolution difference between 1440CBR (HDV) and FullHD.
