Video Editing Software Recommendations?

I am thinking about getting Ulead Movie Studio 11.5 plus because it seems to have great support for the GZHD7. Does anyone have experience with it? I downloaded the trial but didn't get to play around with it much before it expried. However, I was able to burn an HD DVD on a standard DVD-R disc with it that worked perfectly on my Xbox HD DVD player.

Greg Huber,

I am using supplied CyberLink's PowerDirector 6, which very easy and fast! I am fully satisfied with it. I have with me all software Ulead 11 Plus, Sony Vegas 8 Pro, Adobe CS3 Pro, but PowerDirector 6 is fantastic, you can buy it at $89. Thanks Kaushik. I ended up finding a good deal on Ulead Video Studio 11.5 plus so I got that (only $50). I wasn't too impressed with the version of PowerDirector 6 that came with the camera and I didn't see any support for burning HD DVD or Blu-Ray.

I'm pretty happy with Ulead so far but I have ran into some out of sync issues using the "smart render" technology (which saves time rendering but appears to be buggy). For anyone else interested in getting support on Ulead Video Studio, there is a great forum here:

Greg Huber,

The supplied software is PowerDirector 5, and it lacks some interesting features. PowerDirector 6 is the best software right now, you make Blue-Ray disk with your supplied software PowerDirector 5.

It’s good you got good deal but ultimately it is important how it works, how you easy with it! I have Ulead Plus, I am not using it, and it is very much slow! And PowerDirector 6 is very fast and very innovative too! And very simple to use!

I have with me all software like Adobe CS3 Pro, Ulead 11 Plus, Sony Vegas Pro, but very much happy with PowerDirector 6, and CyberLink told me they will soon introduce PowerDirector 7, and I am waiting for that!

Here are some videos which I edited with PowerDirector 6:
