Revision to "JVC GZ-HD7 Handbook" only for those that use iMovie 08

Tonight I sent out a revision to my "JVC GZ-HD7 Handbook."

The ONLY revision is to Appendix A which covers editing with iMovie 08.

Some mail did not go though -- often because a mailbox was full.

So if you didn't get your revision let please email me.

Remember -- this only for those that use iMovie 08.

I'm going to add an Appendix to iMovie 09 Guide to cover the HD7. Now that VirtualDub is long gone, folks need to use MPEGStreamclip to convert TOD to AIC. Then you can import into iM 09.

Hey Steve, I use QT pro to convert to AIC for editing in iMovie '09. I'm assuming you're suggesting to use MPEGstreamclip only because it's free, vs. the $30 for QT pro? When you buy one of Apple's pro software suites FCS/Logic (of which I have both) it automatically opens the stock QT program in Leopard to become QT pro. Plus they're saying that the new QT in Snow Leopard (rumored to be out on Aug 28th) will essentially have the same functionality as the current QT pro.

Sorry, I don't know where to post this

I too have QTpro and just bought Steve's Ins and Outs of iMovie 09
(Thank you!; I still wish that you'd write an F1 book for Casio : )

I have two questions:
I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard yet. Is there a way to use the new QT in Leopard?

…and didn't read the Ins and Outs yet either; bought it two minutes ago : )
Does iMovie 09 work the same under both OSs? [Leopard and Snow…]

Thank you,
Laurentiu
