Hi Alex,
I don't have DH30000. But I think it should work. It has an mpeg processor similar (or even the same) like JVC40K.

Monitoring the HD10...

Would a standard NTSC, compostie or s-video monitor display the JY output while recording in all modes?

Yes, a standard NTSC display will do, of course for HD it might not be enough...
