Blue shifted when pointed at tv or monitors

I have noticed that my HD10U shifts to the blue side of the spectrum whenever it is pointed at a monitor or television screen. This happens even though the cam is white balanced for the room light it is in, and even when the white balance is performed a couple of feet away from the screen itself. Should I be worried or is this just another snafu? Also I am having some trouble changing the 12 bit setting in the sound menu on the cam, and sometimes it will not let me adjust the focus even though it is in manual mode (even when I reset to the defaults). Again should I be worried?

Sounds like the monitors or TV's are not balanced (color adjusted).

Well, that may or may not be true, but what I do know is that from a visual perspective the screens look fine until I look at them through the camera. I am simply not sure! I will look to see if ajdjusting the screens makes a difference

The eye is very good at determining colour balance. The brain soon gets used to interpreting the colour of a monitor screen for example and thinking that it is the norm.
Take another example of moving from tungsten to daylight. Our eyes will adapt instantly, whereas a CCD or film will not...
