Interesting site, shame i cant read Japanese though! oh well one day.

I downloaded the Lavender clip it was OK but had some bad compression artifacts and also i think the person was using some kind of mattbox but the right hand side of the clip had some vignetting(probly from the mattebox). Anyway it was a nice insight.

I loved the Kami.wmv. Very nice footage and put together very well. I almost felt like I was watching Discovery HD. :) Very artistic.

What type of housing was used for the underwater footage in Okinawa.wmv?

Were any filters used?

Some of the footage appeared to stutter on my machine (P4 2.4Ghz, 640 Mb PC2700 RAM, WMP10), is anyone else noticing this?

Looks very much like a lot of the footage I shoot with my JVC. You can especially tell on transition shots when the JVCs automatic (i.e. non-manual) iris opens up. I recognized the signature chroma noise and a very very small portion of white blowouts, although I do admit they were kept to a minimum.

Some of the footage in the above mentioned Kami.wmv looked very very good with excellent color, clarity and depth.

Jung did you shoot any of this?

You can always use a translation service for the web sites (babelfish.altavista.com or google), the Japanese on the video would be the real problem.

It's looks like the u/w stuff on Okinawa.wmv was shot without a color compensating (red, orange, pink etc) filter. You can definately tell this with the shots that are both above and below water. It also looks like most of the footage was shot at 20' or above, with bright sunlight. I'm pretty sure from looking at the footage that manual white balance was not used. Now, if this was because MWB wasn't an option, my guess is the Ikelite or JVC housing was used. If it were the Gates housing, I would think that both a filter and MWB would have been done on most shots. This is all speculation based on my u/w experience with the HD10U, however, so I could be wrong.

I don't think I had any stutter. Most of the U/W footage was shakey, but that looked like it was partially due to shooting much of it zoomed in.
