Simple On-camera light and Mic question please

Good Morning.

I've seached on on camera lighting with little help.
I have the HD10 and just need a recommendation
for a general purpose, low budget on camera light
and external mike.

Thank you very much in advance.
Tom

Sony's battery powered light...

Tom,

I've just ordered the Sony HVL-20DM video light that has switchable 10/20 watt operation. It takes Sony Lithium batteries and should give you more than an hour of portable lighting with the largest battery.

The light costs about $100 and the largest battery can be had for around the same. The unit does work with smaller capacity batteries but you'd only be able to use the 10w lamp.

It's very light and I tested it locally at a shop that carries Sony products but they are priced at MSRP. I ordered mine from bhphotovideo.com.

I got it because I already use the M series Lithium batteries with my other camcorder and can use it to charge the batteries or swap them out when needed.

Tom,

Not a problem.

Are you using your HD10 to record martial arts?

Thanks again.
