Lanc or other type of remote control for HD1?

I was wondering if the HD1/10 allowed for Lanc control by a Varizoom type of controller or if anyone knew of another type of controller to use?

Thanks.

JVC uses Jlip. Do a search in this forum.

Ok...

I've searched till I was blue in the face for a solution, but nothing! I've got it that JVC uses JLIP, but is there a compatible controller?

I've checked out JVCs pro offerings and that turned up nothing as well.

I guess I'll have to dig in to engineering side and try to build one myself.

Off to learn about JLIP!

Well if you searched for Jlip in this forum you would have gotten lots different threads (I did). As for specific info on Varizoom, I think the short answer is they don't make one for Jlip only Lanc.

Hey Troy, if you get anywhere with your project I would be very interested, as would many others here I'm sure. I have collected various Jlip software and resources. Just ask and I'll dig it up and let you know what I gotz.

I looked all over my camera, and all over the user's manual, and I didn't find any jlip / compu link port. The HD10 just doesn't have any possibility of a varizoom type remote wired controller, unless you hacked it somehow.

Murad,

The JLIP controller is a small port that's concealed by a small screwed on cover. You'd only have to unscrew the cover to access the JLIP port.

It's to the left of the firewire port.
