Best sub 1000 35mm adapters ?
Hi
I got some question about the sub 1000 35mm adapters. How do these adapters differ. Are there some of these adapters that are better for Jvc gy-hd100. And which one of them do you prefer. Thank you for your assistance!!! |
It really depends on what you are going to be using it for. Adding a 35mm adapter will add a lot more bulk and length to your already long camera. If you are doing run and gun work, i am a believer in the Brevis 35 after using both the Brevis and M2 all summer long. The Brevis is incredibly light, compact, easy to setup and with their new carbon rails completely stable. In fact this is the way I prefer to shoot and its amazing how creative you can get going handheld this way. Flip the eyepiece on the HD100 and you will be spoiling yourself in a big way. Also to consider is that CF1- the original diffuser for the Brevis can save you some serious light loss when compared to the M2. I also love the Cinevate forums- everyone is helpful and responsive. I think all of the current adapters out there are great right now, but for the HD100 i have to say the Brevis is the best. Just my 2 cents. Goodluck choosing!

I would go with the sgpro. Sharpest adapter around IMO.
I see you are in Sweden. You could save a lot of money in shipping and customs alone by buying the sgpro since it ships from the UK. |
I'd have to say the Brevis... since I own one!! As already mentioned, its light weight and easy to use.
Check out a comparative review of the SGpro, the M2 and the Brevis by Phil Bloom. link: http://www.philipbloom.net/ go to 35mm shoot out Drew. |
Btw, neither the brevis nor the m2 are under $1k, at least not with everything you need.

In a week or so we will have half a dozen used/demo rigs for well under $1000. We'll announce the "yard sale" via our web site :-)

Oh, wow! Time to break open ths piggy bank! I'd already decided on the Brevis vs the M2.
