Mixing HD100 w/ HVX200

I need to decide on cameras for shooting a documentary which will be a mixture of interviews and run and gun footage. I already have a HD100 which I use mostly for interviews. I'll be needing a second camera which needs to be more discreet and easier to run around with than the HD100. The HVX200 is obviously smaller and lighter. My question is - how would it cut with the HD100? If I'm shooting interviews, I like to use two cameras if I have two people and cut between close-ups and wide shots. I know I can shoot 720p with the HVX200 so frame rates shouldn't be a problem. How hard is it to match the look of the two cameras?

Thanks.

You should be able to match them up easily with a DSC chart and waveform/vectorscope. Setup the HVX200 the way you like it first, then match the HD100 to it. I did this with the DVX100 way back and they match up quite well.

Thanks Tim - that's what I needed to hear.

I've seen photos of these cams side by side. They're roughly similar size wise.

I've mixed footage between these two. It's not so bad in post if you don't have time to use a chart. You will have to soften the HD100 footage a bit, oversaturate the reds, and denoise the blues. Green tends to match up nicely, a little muted on both.
