I'm a little confused...

I'm a little confused...

According to Focus Enhancement's website the DR-HD100 won't record 720p60 as quicktime- only as M2T. M2T files are not editable with FCP without a lengthy conversion to quicktime. THEN you can drag and drop into the timeline.

Have they updated the DR-HD100? Was there an announcement? Am I wrong?

Justin, you are correct, the DRHD100 does not record 720p60 as quicktime.
I revised the phrasing on my origional post and appologize for any misunderstanding.
However, I can tell you that 720p60 in quicktime on the DRHD100 will be coming in the near future. It is already in beta testing. Something to look forward to!

DRHD100 Press Release Web Link

Here's the web link to the Focus Enhancements press release that speaks about the 3.0 firmware upgrade enabling the DRHD100 to record HDV720 60p and 50p as QuickTime files: http://investors.focusinfo.com/relea...leaseID=279829

Hope this helps.
