CENTURY OPTICS 2.0x extender 1/3 bayonet mount

Anyone used this 2.0 extender yet?

It looks like it fit our JVC lenses, but I'm not sure about it.
The same for the quality - light loss?

Marc,

"The doubling of the focal length results with a two-stop reduction of light reaching the focal plane".

I've not used one so can't speak of how it looks but it will definitely fit the JVC GYHD cameras.

just starting the search myself. I was thinking of it to use on my stock 16x lens so I could use the bottom of half of the lens optically but with the (2x doubler) (40x x 2x to get a better 80mm than the stock 16x at that range) so I could do sports decently without purchasing the more expensive 17x or 18x lens for another year. OR I was thinking of getting a used 13x lens, and for sports, drop the 2x in the middle and again gain that extra reach that I like for closeups in sports but without the soft muddy 16x optics of 55mm-80+mm

But BH sells the 2x doubler for $720 and the list is closer to $920, so I'm guessing it's as good as its' going to get unless Fujinon starts selling their 2x extenders openly. I just don't know about what the extra glass might do to the 16x lens. Will the extra deffraction kill off any remaining quality of the 16x? Will the loss of quality on the 13x make it around the level of the 17x lens? I'm sure all the options are better than the stock 16x at 50-80mm however.
