GY-HD 100 200 82 mm Filter ring/ Matte box
 

The stock Fujinon has a fragile 82 mm threaded front end lens hood mount, it is also a problem fitting the lens hood over filters screwed to the front. However, I've tried something that works quite well.

A 'Cokin' 82mm adapter ring screwed in is discrete and doesn't cause any vignetting. There is still a problem fitting the Fujinon lens hood until....

1. fit the cokin 82 mm ring adapter reasonably tight.
2. using a permanent felt tip pen, carefully mark the ring to match the three lens hood slots.
3. Remove the ring and, (well away from your camera and lens) use a fine file to reduce the ring where you have marked it, so that the ring matches the 3 Fujinon lens slots - you need to take each of the three new slots down 1 mm or so, do not file to far or the ring will lose it's strength, and be sure not to grasp the ring too tightly as you may deform it.
4. wash the ring completely clean of aluminium filing dust. Use a brush to thoroughly get the threads clean. Dry the ring
5. Voila! the lens is more rigid and the lens hood fits over it.
