Howdy from Texas,

One of our members posted a question on some other message board somewhere, wondering if the HD100 would be available for purchase as a body-only kit, without the lens. The answer is yes! I put the question to Ken Freed via email and received this response to share with you guys:
  • GY-HD100UL16 -- list price is $6,295 for camera, mic, EVF and T16 lens
  • GY-HD100U -- list price is $5,495 for camera, mic, EVF without lens

The price difference is so minor that it's hardly worth it NOT to get the lens... I'd get the lens even if it was to be just an extra.

Sorry I missed you at NAB this year.

The HD100e has caught my imagination, but I am wondering when
and if the model with SDI and HDSDI will be out in July?

Could you ask Ken about that? (Or a 'lurking' Ken could simply answer himself ;)
