Grainy look using GY HD 111e

I am new to the GY HD 111e and haven't been able to figure out why i always get a very grainy look in the final product. doesn't do the camera any justice. Anyone know why??

can you be a bit more specific?
Have u used the gain feature while shooting? What's your set up like? Is the grain after finishing or present while importing into your NLE? How are you importing, and what are your settings? Etc etc.
