HD201 - PC firewire connection problem
 

I've got a problem with the firewire connection on an HD201. When I try to connect to a PC with the 6-6 pin cable the computer does not even 'see' the camera. I've tried it on two PCs, yet when I use a 6-4 pin to my laptop it is there but there is no device control available (Premiere Pro 2). It will capture but only manually.
Can anyone point me towards a solution so that I can capture direct to my editing PC with CS4. I have contacted JVC in London but they say have never heard of this problem.

check your firewire adapter in the PCs....does it work well for other cameras? If your computer cannot detect the camera it's not a software issue. Are you following the manual correctly? Don't hot-swap when power is on...( I hope you know that already).
