Makes me a happy HD-100 owner after reading the article.

My HD100 was recently rented and used as a 2nd/B-roll cam to a primary Varicam on a national insurance campaign. The client really enjoyed the camera and the footage.

Be careful transporting it though - it took some heavy hits when someone plane-side checked it in a sole Kata bag (uggg).

So far my favorite design of all of the 'little' cams. You just have to know what it can & can't do, depending on the situation.

I also enjoyed this article - will look forward to similar ones that have more time to test/compare.

Thanks for providing the link, (I am a registered member, the site has many good articles). I knew of the test and all the banter it raised. However, I was waiting for Adam Wilts report. He tends to be more honest, and his opinions are based on facts/data.

Although I own and use Canon's, I'm being carefully open-minded. True, the H1 is a resolution king, but lack of decent PCM audio for me as corporate video/stand and deliver guy is a deal killer. The comments on the HVX's resolution seems disturbing.

I never considered the HD100. I am planning on renting and reviewing both the pany and canon for myself. However, I might as well give the HD100 a go.

Adam was right about one thing, the reason for embarking on the test, that there is way too much speculation/rumor about these camera's. If you folks feel happy about your HD100 purchase, the it merits a look.

Pete
