Pro II D Hard Carrying Case?
 

I stumbled across this tonight:

Has anyone seen or heard of this? If it's a fitted case for the HD100 it looks really handy, but I've never heard of it or seen in mentioned in any JVC material.

Have not see that one, however if you are looking for a
great HD100U case go to a large hunting/sporting goods
store and check out all of the different cases made
for hand guns with the designable foam...

You can't beat the options and prices compared to
buying a case sold in the AV industry; same thing
just less money with more options...

We house all of our 100HDs in the Pellican 1650. Enough room for cam, 2 AB or IDX batteries, charger, matte box and rods and its waterproof and lockable

I posted on another thread about the Kata HD-CC-3 bag I just got. It holds the camera (with two or three inches of length to spare) including the physically longer wide lens, a matte box and a A/B Dionic 90 battery attached.

Being able to shoot without having to do any "assembly" of the camera is sweet for me, as anyone who worked with me when I was pulling my KY-D29, its lens and its viewfinder out of a dented up Zero Haliburton suitcase and having to slap them together can attest.

The HD-CC-3 also has two hard shell pockets, the front one is perfect for two more Dionic 90's and the one on the back will hold quite a few 4x4 or larger filters. There are a long side pocket divided up (two dividers are zippered) into a bunch of sections, one of which can (barely) hold the stock lens and a pad to protect it, another holds two small Anton Bauer chargers, another power cords for the chargers, etc. Nothing unusual really, but in this regard it is competitive with Porta Brace, etc.

Very good protection for the camera too. Hard shell insert over the lens area so my matte box is very safe. Also a pocket inside for a tripod plate, but since the rod mount is my tripod plate, I've used that bag to hold blank tapes.

The objection would be the GIGANTIC external size -- it'll wouldn't make it as carry-on luggage if you had your own private jet.

But you can't have lots of space inside the bag without taking up a lot of room outside! In this case, enough to fill the Staples Center. Nonetheless, I love it.

I paid $292 plus tax at Studio Depot in Hollywood, which is somewhat below list and I didn't hesitate for one second at that price.
