HD-100 in Portabrace

I wondering if anybody use this new Portabrace case for the HD100 with the attached IDX battery adaptor and battery.
They have two version, one 21" long and the longer one, which is 22.5" long. I searching for the 22.5" long one:

I hope the camera with the big battery fit in lenght wise.

Thanks, Laszlo

I know this is a little O/T, but has anyone used the JVC hard case? If so what are you thoughts on the function and fit. I will be using AB batteries and possibly the 13x lens.

Kata will hold HD100 plus rhinoceros

Seriously, the Kata HD-CC-3 will hold the HD100 with matte box on, A/B Dionic 90 on, follow focus on, and with three inches to spare in length, I put my regular lens hoods in front of the entire assemblage described above.

It also has a hard shell pocket in front that holds two additional Dionic 90 batteries perfectly, plus a hard pocket on the back that will hold several filters, etc. I use the big side pocket to hold the second (stock) lens and two small A/B chargers.

With this much space inside, of course the exterior dimensions are large as well, so I don't think this would make it as carry-on luggage. It can be had from Studio Depot in Hollywood for $292, but lists for $369.

If you browse the Kata site, will quickly see that in addition to camera cases they make bullet-proof body armor (match that, Porta-Brace) for police/military, possibly also useful for any video paparazzi visiting this forum.

Here's the URL for the HD-CC-3:

I think those 2 Porta bags are the same. We got that one with the free rain coat. Plenty of room for the lens, hood, and IDX batt all attached.

I use the Portabrace (can't read the product model, looks like W PC). Works fine.
