New Miranda HDV Convertor
 

TV Technology has an article about new products from Miranda.

They will be shipping a new HD-Bridge DecDXC HDV-HDSDI convertor.

This new unit will convert HDV 720p24 to 1080p24 HDSDI.

Good news for those shooting 720p24 and needing a way to edit it. Now all you need is a RAID fast enought to handle the 1080p24.

It didn't say anything about the Canon. It just stated HDV 720p24, which would be the JVC, not the Canon.

Tim,

The DXC adds the HDV 720p24 as well as a few other options such as ASI conversion, genlock input, HDV downconvert for SD editing and a composite output for low budget monitoring. If Miranda operates like in the past, they may announce this product but we may not see it until early next year. But that is just from past product announcements.

If it does ship soon, it would be a great way to edit 720p24 footage without have to jump through hoops!!

I think the compatiblity list pointed to a bug in the jvc 24p?

How much does the thing cost?

Everything I have read doesn't give a price. The original HDV Bridge cost around $2500.
