Demo of the HD100 Today!

I was at the dealer Adwar Video on Long Island, and I got to test the HD100. As some of you may know I have been debating between the HD100 and the HVX200. I knew it would be professional, but I never expected it to be as awesome as it was. I put a down payment on it. I will be picking it up at the end of next week. Shortly after I will post some footage.

From the very second it touched my shoulder, I knew I was buying it. And then I remembered that the DP of my favorite show (24) also recommened this. I can't pass it up!

I am picking it up towards the end of next week. I should also be adding a DR-HD100 to the mix.

I'm on the same boat as yourself Steve. I have been debating over the HD100 and the HVX200 for a while. The HD100 had the higher resolution, and the HVX200 had the 60P (without component output). Now that the HD200 has been announced, I may just wait a little longer.

I was thinking about waiting, but the extra $2000 will really not help me. I don't shoot anything that requires 60P, although it would be easier to achieve slow motion with it.

I would rather spend the money on both the camera and the hard drive.
