JVC 720/30p -> 720/25p Conversion Methods?

For a client that requires NTSC and PAL, we opted to shoot 720/30p HDV and do the PAL conversion in post. So does shooting 30p and doing the 25p conversion in post sound like the best choice? At this stage in the NLE battle for workablilty, is this a fairly simple task using the lastest edition of FCP along with a plug in or two (Lumiere)? Thanks in advance.

it is better to shoot 60i then reconvert to 30p et 25p.
if you shoot 30p, removing frames to go to 25p will create some jerkiness (already too much visible at 30p for some people).
if the picture is very static, its playable from 30p

Tough nut to crack Taylor. It'll have studder if you cut frames so the only other option is to slow the footage down to 83.33 (constant) percent. But that won't look right either. It'll will look noticeably slow mo. The 24p to 25 and 30 would be alot easier (next time).

anyone else have any luck with this scenario?

24p instead?

YIKES!!

We shot some static and insert stuff yesterday at 30p so looks like we are fine on that (1st day of the shoo)t. 5 shooting days remaining however, so should we make a quick switch?

Shoot 25p and convert to 24p later?

Shoot 24p, record audio and despite the current HD100 24p audio issues, deal with everything in post? Shoot 24p (NTSC) and convert to 25p (PAL) in post? Perhaps audio might require some finesse -BUT- will this be a better route?

MANY MANY THANKS TO ALL!
