Can Studio 10 do this? Might be the cheapest option.

I have no idea, but have you tried the freeware HDVSplit. I have test captured Sony FX1's HDV to a Laptop/USB2.0 Harddrive, and it worked great.

The lowest costing product (free) that I know works (PC) with JVC is CapDVHS

Without wanting to hijack the thread, I have been thinking of asking a similar question for a while, so I will go ahead and ask here instead of making a new thread. If the moderators feel it warrantees a new thread, please feel free to separate it.
I'm just wondering what's the cheapest way to capture uncompressed HD (via component out) from the HD100?

Probably using a card like a Decklink or AJA which will run you between $1000 to $2000. You would then need the software to do the capture, either FCP or Premiere. You would also need a RAID fast enought to capture the footage. At least sustained speeds of 140 MB a sec.

Uncompressed capture can get real expensive. If you use FCP you could capture uncompressed and then have the card convert the footage to DVCPro HD format which wouldn't require as fast a RAID setup. A lot of people are posting HDV footage this way.
