Why does your body's colour look different? mine is black and your's is dark aqua? is yours a hd100e? or hd101e?

and that is a cool pic what is the other cam?

K. Forman June 20th, 2006 07:02 PM

He got the special Ipod edition HD100. Limited number are available... ;)

Seriously though, it's likely just a trick of the uncorrected light.

Jon Jaschob June 20th, 2006 07:56 PM

You didn't know? You can get skins for the hd100 so it will match your apple ware!
It's a new HD100ua, fresh off the boat, or plane....whatever...
It's "blackish", not as black as the lens, but the blueishness is from my cheep canon still camera with the flash on.

The other camera is my 30 year old JVC GX-S 700 with a 10x fuji lens.
It's a little shorter, but a lot taller than the hd100. Manual everything :)
I shot 1/2 of my last short film with this old jvc. If you like you can see the final footage here, http://fotgfilms.com go to short films and watch Goodbye Manfred Milner. The JVC footage is the B&W part of the film.

Awesome! Welcome to the HD100 Forum!

Jaadgy Akanni June 20th, 2006 09:37 PM

Congrats on your new camera. Now you're one of us. My first recommendation is to do what I did. I immediately ordered myself a "JVC GY HD100 MADE EASY" training dvd from Elite Video 'cause I hate manuals...By the way, lose the table...lol

Jon Jaschob June 20th, 2006 10:18 PM

Thanks everyone, glad to be a owner, on to learning and testing.
Fun, fun, fun!

PS U gotta problem with my table?

Jonathan Ames June 20th, 2006 10:36 PM

Please add my welcome to the group. If there's anything I can do...

Jon Jaschob June 21st, 2006 04:01 PM

WOW!

Got it up and running. I'm blown away.

I set it up with the TC ver3.

Much more to learn, but it really looks great, almost right out of the box.

Wow!

I will post some stuff after I figure out the back focus.....

After a week of playing around.....

Hand held
TC Ver 3
Detail Min

I think it looks pretty good, a little soft? Comments?

I really didn't like the look of footage with detail set around 1, looked like my Sony TRV 22 in the highlights.

I'll post more soon.
