Fujinon Website Updated. New Lens...

Fujinon has updated their website with a new product(s) section dedicated to lenses for the JVC GY-HD100U (obviously the 110 / 200 / 250 as well). See the the following link:

http://www.fujinonbroadcast.com/cgi-...cgi?parent=352

It also seems Fujinon has yet another lens available, that is not part of the lenses announced at NAB '06, or part of the initial two lenses released with the HD100 (ie. "stock" 16X55 and Th13x35BRMU). The Fujinon HTs18x4.2BRM appears to be yet another lens option for JVC GY-HD100U / 110 / 200 / 250 users. Unless its a typo, there is both a Fujinon HTs18X4.2BRM, as well as a HTs19X42BRM. As JVC announced the 19X at NAB, not an 18X... See link below regarding NAB '06 lens announcements according to Ken Freed (JVC Sales Engineer):

http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...ghlight=lenses

Fujinon's website also shows the new Th17X5BRMU as the "stock" lens for the JVC GY-HD100U / 110 / 200 / 250 cameras. Very interesting, as this lens WAS announced at NAB '06 as well.

Just curious if we have yet another lens to add to the growing list of compatible 1/3" bayounet lenses (according to Ken Freed, this "18X" would be the 7th lens for the JVC GY-HDXXX cameras...

These are the lenses I reported on at NAB06, and I certainly don't remember a 19x lens.

4.2mm is actually going to make a good general purpose wide angle. It won't be as close to fisheye as the 3.5mm, but it would be a great lower cost lens to put on a second camera.
I wonder if Fuji will bother with the 17x5 now... although I'm sure the price is much lower.
