Shooting SD and tape decks

Quick question. If I shoot SD on the JVC or any tape for that matter, will I be able to use it with a Sony deck?

I'm pretty sure you should be able to. It's just standard DV.

I shoot sd24pa using the panasonic tapes and capture using my canon optura 60 consumer camera and have no problems. I use vegas 4 and I am able to get 24p and burn to dvd without any problems.
