Our look at the HD250 -pics

I thought you guys might like to get a closer look at the HD250 with 13X lens next to the existing HD100 with 16X lens. This was on loan for testing and we took these last minute before shipping the 250 back out. Look close and you can see a lot of the new features that have been mentioned with this camera. It's not hard to see the size difference, it's without a doubt longer especially with the 13X lens, I liked that about it. Improved image quality aside, I liked the external features a lot. I have pics of the HD250 as well as the 13x & 16X lens comparisons

Chris, feel free to move these images to DVinfo, and relink if you want.

Will do. Many thanks for sharing these, Daniel -- much appreciated!

That 13x fujinon really seems a lot larger (and heavier). Having a HD101, I suppose the weight will be a problem and it won't balance well (not to mension the fact it won't fit in my CamRade case anymore).

two additional points:
1. The Anton Bauer plate is now standard, and comes attached to the 250.
2. The included Tripod plate is a standard Sony plate, so those w/ Betacams and Digital Betacams can share tripods and plates....nice!

Say, What is behind the other flap? RCA audio out?

In the HD100 the component connections are behind the first flap, but since component connections are apparently behind the second flap and there's no more 3.5mm jack, I suppose there's where the audio must be... And the firewire probably...

The three RCA's that were component on the HD100 and HD110 become audio out left & right, and composite video out. The 6 pin firewire is below those connectors.
