HD250 Shutter Motion Smooth and DNR

Perhaps Carl can answer this question. When using the HD250 in HDV30p mode, when I activate the shutter I see "S" in the view finder. The shutter displays the speed or "OFF" when pressed.

Yet when I select 1/60 in HDV30p mode, no "S" appears. If I move the shutter to 1/30 it reappears. Does that mean 1/60 is the standard and it's the same as "OFF"?

Motion Smoothing no longer is a menu option, is that correct?

Should I shoot using the new DNR option. It defaults to off and the manual says it improves SNR, but at the expense of more blurring.

Thanks

Dave

I don't know, but I will check on it.

I'll check on this too.

It's a trade-off decision. Probably OK to use when shooting with minimal motion of camera or subject.

Thanks
