HD110E to a monitor...advice please!
 

I'm having a little trouble getting an output signal from the VIDEO/Y connector when i try to send this to a monitor on set.

How have you guys established a monitor set up for your shoots? According to the manual "the signal switches automatically depending upon the cables connected to these connectors"

this only confuses things further!

I've also read that some set up is needed in the VIDEO FORMAT menu...

If anybody has any advice, i would really appreciate it!!

You can change the format output in the menu. it´s either component, composite or auto.
Where auto obviously change the format itself by checking what cables are plugged in. (preset is set to auto, hence the text that it switches automaticly)

atleast that´s the options on my camera, but that´s the 111 so it might not be the same, although, would be very odd if it wasn´t.
