DV Info Net - Still waiting...

I ordered my JVC HD110 before Christmas. Usually I use B&H, but because of the amount I was spending, the camera, firestore unit, extra IDX battery, camera case and so forth, I decided to purchase from a local authorized dealer.

So I went to the JVC website and brought up the list of authorized dealers, there was only one that was anywhere even sort of close to me, so thats who I ordered through. They told me the camera probably would not arrive until after the Holidays. OK, I could wait that long. However, come January the camera still had not arrived. In fact the camera didn't arrive until a full two weeks into January. Two weeks isn't too terribly long, this is understandable. However, everything else I ordered and the IDX battery kit still wasn't there.

As of today, the 23rd of January, over a full month has passed since I placed my order. The camera has arrived, as well as the camera case and the extra IDX battery that I purchased- but still no idea when the free IDX battery kit will arrive or when the firestore will be here.

The salesperson at the store says he spoke with JVC, and they are still processing the free IDX battery kit and that the firestore is on backorder and they have no idea when that will be in.

I can understand the firestore being on backorder to some extent, but how many months is it going to be on backorder for? And how long does it take to process this free IDX battery kit? It has been over a month since I placed my order and I am starting to get frustrated.

Also, when I initially placed the order I was under the impression that they had everything in stock, I didn't find out until later that they were going to have to order everything.

Next time I think I am just going to stick to B&H, I just wish that the rest of my order would hurry up and arrive. I have shoots coming up that I need the stuff for.
