hooking HD100U to mixer

Is there anything special that needs to be done or warnings when hooking up a portable mixer to the HD100U? Anyone have any problems with this set-up that can give me some tips?

Set the inputs on the HD100 to line level and turn off phantom power (phantom power on the mixer is okay). If you want to use a DC adaptor to power the HD100, plug it into the same power strip/surge protector as the mixer to avoid a hum-inducing ground loop.

Optionally, set the levels on the HD100 so that 0VU is the same on both the mixer and the camera so the sound guy can be assured that what he's sending is what's going to tape. Make sure he knows how much headroom you have over 0VU for clipping.

Hi,

Thank you for the help. I have my camera mic in the input 1. I was going to unplug the camera mic from input 1 and plug the xlr of mixer into ch1. I'll set the input to line and give it a test drive before hand. I guess I can just hookup mixer to ch2 and set the audio for ch2. Anyway, I really appreciate your input.
