Quality Loss With Dr-hd100?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you loose any quality when you automatically record to a quicktime clip an then take it into FCP to edit, as opposed to capturing from tape?

No, you don't loose any quality. The DR-HD100 is simply recording a quick time DV file, the same exact files that you work with in the computer. The difference is intead of wrapping the DV stream in a file upon capturing to a computer, you are writing the file as you are shooting.
