I only use focus assist as a guide. However, I don't rely on it.

I thought one big advantage with P+S/Cine lenses over my M2/Nikons was that you could rely perfectly on tape measuring. So it isn't?
By the way, Charles Papert talked about P+S softening, I love my M2 for the special reason it doesn't softens like P+S does

the DV anamorphic adapter (century, optex) will not give a good result with an HDV camera.
the current adapters available are poor quality lenses, they just work on SD.
