Fujinon Th17xBRM 1/3" Lens

I noticed that B&H is selling the JVC HD200 with an upgraded
(Fujinon Th17xBRM) lens option over the stock lens. Can anyone comment on the quality of this $3000 lens?

I got this package. I don't have a 16x to directly compare it with, but there is a lot more glass in it if you look at them together.
You'll find some other posts about this lens here if you search.

Can't seem to find them...

I'd love to read those posts. Searching that lens model number only turns up this thread. I'm about to put that lens in the "package" for purchase! Sounds great - but I'd love some real world comments...I'll keep looking, but if you find anything, please post them back here for the next bloke that searches Th17x5BM...

Just search 17x

It would seem that just searching 17x returns plenty as this thread mentions...
