About 4 hours on new batteries. Depends on how you use the camera, but about that. I have only once flattened 2 in a one day and that was on the last shot of a long shoot.

Batteries...

If you need an extra V-Mount for your camera check out Batteries 4 Broadcast. Get a 90 WattHour battery vs. the 70WattHour IDX for less. Get about 5 hours on the 90WH unit!

Will those batteries recharge on the IDX charger? I know that the IDX batteries will only charge on certain sony chargers.

Anyone know?

Thanks,

Matthew

I charge Sony V-locks on my IDX charger and it seems to work fine. It may not charge as well, but I can't tell if that is the case.

Jerry at Lone Wolf (ebay: lwptv) sells 190Wh batteries with embedded LCDs that tell remaining time. I just bought one recently and will report on it when I take delivery.

I have a SWIT and an IDX V-Mount charger.
I have Sony, SWIT and IDX V-Mount batteries.

They all happily charge together in any combination.

I've just had some problems with the V-mount charger without a name (of a client) - you know, the white product that's out there, chinese origin. It works fine on some occasions and with some batteries, and it seems to charge SONY and IDX batteries, it just stops charging them when they're only half-charged...

I use a SONY-charger with IDX-batteries and that works fine without any hiccup...
