Hd110u, green screen and time lapse

Okay so i'd like to know if this setting is fine for Time Lapse:

30p 720 shutter at 60fps.

Also, what editing software is good for use with green screen with the hd110u , Im on a pc, and I really am not happy with Adobe Premiere so please do not suggest it.

Basically I need to film a tutorial for a company here and some of it will be sped up (it's a cleaning company) they need shots of a maid coming into a totally messed up room and sped up so it shows her cleaning the room up quickly, about 15 minutes in real time sped up to about 1 minute total.

Also they want green screen work done.

That'll be fine, you can blur the motion by shooting at a slower speed, but you can also do that in post. My vote goes for a good solid exposure, whack everything on manual - like white balance, exposure - and roll the tape as long as you can.

I'm not up to speed on NLE for PC users but the latest After Effects is excellent for green screen and damn good for time-lapse effects.

Hope that helps,

Liam.

If you can figure out a way to average all of the frames covering the time that elapses between stop motion frames, the motion blur will look a lot more natural, though it will probably take forever to render. I prefer that look over the look you get from just sampling one frame every few seconds, though. It looks more like it's actually happening that fast than like a time lapse video, y'know?

Primatte in AE really did a good job on some bluescreen food footage I shot recently on the JVC 110u. You can see the clips at http://www.macvilleproductions.com/petros/finals/ (the last three clips in the directory)

Make sure you turn the detail all the way down on the camera. It really helps in keying.

Matthew
