failed to connect BR-HD50

My new PC with Vista business 64-bit won't recognise the JVC BR-HD50. The HD50 works fine on other PC's (albeit with XP), so the hardware is fine - I've tested 2 HD50's by now, and it's the same for both. If I connect a JVC GY-HD200 or HD250, all works fine as well: Vista recognises instantly that a device is connected and starts installing drivers: the cameras work fine. With the BR-HD50, Vista doesn't even see that anything is connected.

If I connect the HD50, I can't see anything changing in the Device Manager, not even if I force the device manager to search for any hardware changes.

Anyone had this problem as well? And a solution?

Thanks...

I'd say the solution is pretty much stick with XP for now. Vista's not ready for primetime, and from the looks of things I doubt it will ever be, at least for video editing. Microsoft seems to have focused more attention on Digital Restrictions Management and making the **AA happy than on making an OS that works.

I'm not entirely sure it is the OS. If he saw there was something connected, but couldn't find the drivers to use it, I'd say it's vista that's screwing up. Now I'm not so sure. Besides, isn't it all OHCI compliant? The HD200 and HD250 work fine...
