Questions About the Manual
I am going through the manual for the GY-HD100U and have a few questions that from reading it that I cannot find or just did not understand.
1. On page 3 I see that it says that 24p has a 2:3:2:3 pulldown and converts to 60 frames. Is this the reason my video player (mplayer) tells me the footage is 59.95 fps and plays it at double speed? 2. The manual refers to a couple of acronyms that I could not find a definition for: EE and ALC Thanks for the help. I just finished playing with the iris in manual mode with the ND Filters and the shutter speed mixed with the zebra to control my exposure :) Oh and I experimented with Macro! Really cool setting :) |

If you would like to remove the pulldown for editing, you can use a program like Mpegstreamclip and enter 23.98 as the frame rate for the conversion to quicktime. Quote:
I'm not sure, but I think the acronym refers to "entry exit?" ALC means Automatic Level Control. All references to "timecord" in the manual should actually read "timecode!" |
Thank Tim! :)
As for the pulldown I really don't know what that means so I will start to research it. Thanks again. |
