Hey Guys,

Firmware upgrade for HD2xx series is out in Europe.

I don't think we'll see the firmware for HD1xx cameras released online for obvious reasons, ie. JVC don't want people flashing their HD100E/HD110E's to become HD101E/HD111E's.

Let me know if you know any different.

Sorry Michael - can you explain this a little more for me...trouble understanding what you mean by "flashing their HD100E/HD110E's to become HD101E/HD111E's."?

What he means is that Europe has 2 versions for each model. One with firewire input & one without.

I don't know if there is hardware involved but it may just be a simple flash version which would give people in Europe full firewire I/O capability without paying for it.

Thanks Scott. Firewire I and O would be handy for me. Might explain why this update is missing for the HD1**'s.
