Yes, at least one user in another thread reports difficulties with the firmware flash on their camera. Not sure what led to his issues, but I'm going to hold off until I need to update. Since it only addresses the FCP issues with digitizing HDV, it's not a problem for my current workflow.

HD100 Firmware Update available

I updated the firmware successfully
however am sad to report this did not alleviate any of my FCP capture woes.
Clip segmenting and Cut off at the beginning and end.

Would love to hear if this has solved the problems for other FCP users, and if so what settings you are using.

This is very strange because when I enter my firmware key, CVDGJDJJ, I receive a message informing me that my version number is incorrect or missing. The directions provided are ambiguous. Considering the potential for damage, how excusable is this?

I'm not positive if this is the reason, but the download page mentions the upgrade is for US purchased GY-HD 110U/100U models.

"This upgrade is for owners of JVC's 100 Series ProHD Camcorders purchased in the United States."

So what happened to the low light update?
I realize there are a lot of FCP users, but this update seems pretty useless for the camera owners???!!!! I use PPRo2 and Cineform so.....
Ok, thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
Cheers,
Jon

Looks like it is for FCP dig clip issues only. I think I'll wait for more info.

Did you adjust your pre & post roll to 1 second? Usually this only creates a 2-3 second gap between clips.

I don't think the upgrade addresses that. It's to help prevent longer clips from being segmented during capture.

I may be wrong so anyone at JVC can chime in at any point!
