ok the back focus was way off but !

So I readjusted the back focus and there is still chroma lens aberations , not as bad but it always shows up in high contrast or closeups with high intensity light. Quite anoying so my ?
is maybe the backfocus is still not perfect ? Or should I do a white shading ? This is os annoying .

Well I'm getting some aberration (fringing) at the long end of the lens, but at the wider end it is pretty damn sharp and clear to my eyes. It does breathe quite a bit too.

It certainly seems better than the fringing on Philip Bloom's video, but ultimately I guess you could say the lens 'technically' cost $500, so in that case there will be no complaining from me. You could always step up to better glass in the future.

I'd be interested to see what the Canon's going to look like, although at this point it's a bit too late for me to make that choice! I opted for the Fujinon just because it doesn't overlap the 13x3.5 as much as the Canon... I'm hoping to be able to get that lens at some point in the (probably distant) future. I'd also think at some point one of the ground-glass-addon companies will come out with a relay for it giving some more lens options.

That said, all I've been doing is going out and shooting stuff to find out what works, what doesn't work, what I need to look out for, and what limitations the camera has. I figure the CA is one of the things I'll just need to be aware of.
