Skew on CCD light streak

This is on a whip pan left, shot on my GY-HM700. The rest of the image isn't skewing (like you'd get with a CMOS sensor) -- just the light streaks. I never noticed this before -- why is this happening?

If it is on prgressive then then it might give that impression, as it is a whip pan, perhaps?

Is it possible that you have a filter on the lens (polarizer or UV) which has a light grain to it and, when exposed to high-contrast, bright lights, exhibits it's own flare up? You might not be seeing CCD streak there at all, in other words.

That could make sense... But then why is the light streak skewing, when the rest of the image isn't? When the camera is still, the streak is straight vertically.

Hmmm, that's a good question... is it possible for you to upload a short clip (preferably original .MOV from the SD card) so we can take a closer look at the problem, frame-by-frame?
